This is Blair. He's an extremely fun-loving outgoing person and i tried to capture that on camera. If you look closely at his face you can see his massive grin and wide eyes. Unfortunately the leaves around him are very bright and colourful because of the sun's light making him a little dark like the tree, but this does make him stand out more.

The mini rapids
This was another photo where it took me a while to play with the aperture because of the contrasting darkness of the trees against the lightness of the water. I think i almost got it right but the middle of the picture is still very bright.
Lucy on the tyre
This is my mate Lucy swinging on the tyre by the river Dart. Because all we can see is her face, we don't know the reason for her expression but leaves it to our imagination; maybe her feet got wet in the cold stream, or maybe she almost fell off the swing or is simply pulling a face for the camera.
The lost tyre
This was taken somewhere along the river dart where it seemed, very few people went. But in the middle of the pebble beach and trickling stream was the rope tyre showing that people had been here. The picture shows the sun shining through the trees onto the water and the tyre, making the water sparkly giving it a magical feel.
Comfort on the horizon
I love everything about this picture. I like the colour of the sky and the whiteness of the clouds reflecting in the sea giving a sense of peace and calmness. The couple are anonymous and all we know is that they share a bond, as she has her arm around him. I wanted to capture this small show of affection because of its simplicity.
Richard the street performer
This was one of the street performers in Sidmouth square. They were extremely charismatic and entertaining and i think this picture shows some of those qualities. The picture can make me a bit nervous because he doesn't look too confident on the unicycle but it's just an act and all the faces from the crowd are mesmorised.
The folk week hat
This image is of Sidmouth beach in the middle of the day, at its busiest and at its brightest. I like the blue of the sky against the cliffs which stand out in the background.
Carefree in the sand
I love this picture. The swing of the boy's hands and the small waves give it a carefree and relaxing feel. I chose not to include the boys face because you don't need to see his expression to tell his mood and emotion by the way he holds his arms and the roll up of his sandy jeans.
Anni in the sea
This is my best friend trying not too get too wet in the water. I had to play with the aperture to get this picture right because of the brightness of the lighting. I also edited it a little bit on the computer but i like the final picture.

Playing in the sea
This is on Sidmouth beach during a busy folk week. I thought it sumbolised the family atmosphere and also showed how much the weather makes a difference to the mood, as previously it had been pouring with rain and the beaches were deserted. This dad and his children were splashing and having so much fun just making the most of the sunshine!
